Ourem has developed a PIC based Security system for a leading Security systems
manufacturer in USA.
To give an idea of our method of working, the key phases of the project are
highlighted hereunder.
The project started with the Client giving us a broad requirement of the
product functionality based on their perception and experience of market requirement.
We developed the detailed specifications in consultations with the Client.
On approval we started the development.
A flowchart was developed based on the complex chain of events anticipated
& responses required. This was presented for vetting by the Client.
A suitable Microcontroller was identified and this was conveyed to the Client.
One member of the team started work on the microcontroller firmware.
Another started work on the circuit and te interfaces with sensors &
actuators.
A third member of the team was simultaneously working on the software.
The software for control & configuration was developed in Visual Basic.
The project is now in its second phase where technologies like Wireess modem
will be used and multiple drops on a suitable bus is being developed. The
separate software for complete system monitoring, logging, automatic dial-out
and web connectivity to the database of events is being developed.
